I need a recipe with ground turkey?!

Question:

I need a recipe with ground turkey?

I've never used ground turkey before and have a pound to thaw for dinner tonight. We just had burgers two nights ago, so something else would be great.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Answers:

SPAGHETTI PIE

The Crust for One Pie:
6 ounces spaghetti or thin spaghetti (less than half a standard 16 oz. box)
2 tablespoons margarine
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese, regular, low fat, or fat free
2 well-beaten eggs
2 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded (2 cubes about 1 inch on each side, about 2 c. shredded)

Break the spaghetti strands in half before cooking according to package directions. Drain and return it to the pan. (Should produce about 3 cups.) Stir in margarine until melted. Stir in Parmesan cheese and eggs. Shape mixture into a thick crust in a buttered or non-stick sprayed 10-inch pie plate. (Tip: even if you’re cooking with low fat margarine, you might grease the pie plate with regular margarine, since the crust tends to stick if you use the low fat variety.) Easiest if you use clean, buttered hands, but purists may use the back of a large spoon.

The Filling:

Blend any thick pasta sauce with browned and drained ground turkey, beef, or sausage. (Use about 1 pound meat and about 15 ounces of sauce per pie.) Add drained canned mushrooms or sautéed fresh mushrooms, peppers, or onions if desired. Bake at 350F for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (about 2 ounces) and/or additional Parmesan and bake 5 minutes longer. Let cool a few minutes before cutting.

Enjoy!
