How do I cook potatoes?!

Question:

How do I cook potatoes?

I need something simple. I have potatoes right here and I don't know how to cook them.
Thanks.

Answers:

Oh my goodness...there is like a million different things you can do with potatoes...here are 4.

1) Mashed potatoes:
peel the potatoes. boil them until soft. drain water. add a bit of butter & milk to make it a bit creamier. then add herbs or seasonings

2) Baked potates:
throw potatoes into microwave...turn on.
OR wrap potatoes in aluminum foil (do not, I repeat, NOT do this for microwave!!!) throw potatoes into oven at 350 F or 175 C for about an hour.

3) Fried potatoes:
cut potatoes into wedges. cut up an onion. heat up some olive oil in a skillet over medium/high heat. add onions and potatoes, salt and pepper and saute until brown and crispy.

4) Baked potato wedges:
cut potatoes lengthwise into wedges and put into a bowl. coat generously with olive oil. heat oven to about 400 F or 200 C? in a bowl, place about 2 cups of flour with salt, pepper, and other flavorful herbs (REALLY good with something a bit spicy!). now...add the oil coated potatoes to the flour, spices and toss until potatoes are completely coated. place potato wedges on a baking sheet and place in the oven for about 30 minutes.

and if those are not to your liking...here is a site that should have more:
