When bread rises, is it the same thing as a yeast infection?!

Question:

When bread rises, is it the same thing as a yeast infection?

Answers:

Interesting.
No.

Bread rising is caused by the yeast feeding on the nutrients in the dough. As they eat more and more, they grow and get gassy, which causes the bubbles in bread.

A Y. Inf. is caused by the yeast over multiplying, not necessarily growing larger.

So if you'd like to make a comparison, bread rising is more like bug farts.
