Sirloin Roast in crockpot??!

Question:

Sirloin Roast in crockpot??

I know sirloin is usually a tender-cut already, so doesn't really need to go in crockpot.... this is only a 2.5lb roast and if I place it in oven , it would shrink even more. I was thinking of browning all sides of the roast in hot oil on stove, then putting in crockpot, adding herbs, carrots, garlic, onion, greenpepper sliced?? along with HP Sauce(like an A1 sauce)mixed with bit of broth or water...I was also going to do some roasted potatoes in the oven seasoned with garlic, oregano, salt,pepper.,.Any other suggestions would be helpful*~ THankyou*~ and how many do you think that would feed? 4? should i just do rice with it? or the potatoes?? ahhhhhhhh* lol~Help*

Answers:

If you can stretch it to feeding 5, I'll be right there! It sounds like a great dish and the crock pot is a great idea. Roasted potatoes will be just fine...no rice needed. A wonderful green salad should top it off with a good vinaigrette dressing and a loaf of crusty bread to sop off the juices or gravy! Enjoy!
