Answers:

Keftethes me saltsa domata (Meatballs with Tomato sauce)

Just omit the tomatoes, and red wine if you don't want the sauce

500g (1lb) minced beef
1 - 1 1/2 cups moistened stale bread (crusts removed)
1 large onion, grated
5 stalks parsley, chopped finely
salt and pepper
1 egg, beaten lightly
flour
olive oil
4 -5 ripe tomatos, peeled and chopped
1/2 cup dry red wine

1. Combine in a bowl, the minced beef, bread, onion, parsley egg, and salt and pepper to taste. Knead well

2. Shape mixture into small balls and roll in flour.

3. Heat oil in a frying pan. Fry meatballs over moderate heat until brown all over. Drain on absorbent paper

4. To same oil, add tomatoes, wine, salt and pepper and cook slowly for about 5 - 10 minutes, until smooth

5. Arrange meatballs on a hot serving platter, pour over the sauce and serve hot with potatoes (chips or fries)

Serves 4

Enjoy!
