Lobster help?!

Question:

Lobster help?

No body in my family eats seafood but I really want to try it. Can anyone give me an idea how to cook/prepare it?

Thanks!

Answers:

I'm originally from the Bay of Fundy seacoast in NB and love my seafood, especially lobster which I just enjoyed last month while being down there on vacation. The most important thing is to make sure lobster is very alive and remember to salt the water well or use sea water if you have access to it. Use a large pot like a canner pot and about 1/2 C salt, seriously. Make sure you have enough water to pretty well cover lobster and bring to boil before adding lobster to water. When it comes back to a boil turn heat down a bit and tip cover as it can boil over but keep water boiling. A lobster about 2 lbs would take about 20 minutes or yank on one of the antenna's and it should come off with a quick pluck if cooked. Remove from boiling water and lay on its back until it's cool enough to handle. Crack shells with nutcracker and enjoy as is or dipped in melted butter or garlic butter. I hope it is the best food experience you've ever had...lol. If you have any further ?'s please let me know and I hope you can let me know how it turns out.
