Cookie Question?!

Question:

Cookie Question?

For constitution day on monday my government class is having a food day and u get extra credit if u bring something homemade that is red, white and blue.So then my questions are.If i take a roll of sugar cookie dough, divide it into thirds, dye one third red and one third blue and leave the last third white. Then roll all of them out and put them together and roll it back up and cut them into circles.(like pinwheels)Would that work.Do u know of other ways to do this?Or do u know other recipes for things that are red, whit and blue, are easy to make and dont need to be refrigerated? Thanks a lot.

Answers:

Sure that will work! If you want vibrant colors, use cake frosting dye from a cake shop. It will make the red really red and not just pink. Blue will be a true blue and not baby blue. Just get the "No Taste" red dye as some have a bitter taste. Good Luck!
