Where can I buy poblano peppers?!

Question:

Where can I buy poblano peppers?

I was planning on making a poblano and chicken chowder for dinner tomorrow night. I couldn't find the poblanos at Stop and shop. (I live in CT.) Anyone know where I can find them locally, and fresh. Not dried, or canned. Also what exactly do they look like?

Answers:

I'm not sure about Ct. but here in California, open air Hispanic markets (flea markets, rematito's) are abundant. Try outdoor farmers markets for fresh grown as well. Both sources here in my town, Calif. you can find every pepper that grows.
Good luck in your town!
