What can we do with turnips?

my daughter wanted to try planting turnips this year...and the harvest has been a huge success! now...what do we do with them?


Answers:

They can be peeled sliced and eaten raw, or steamed and mashed with some butter, like potatoes, or roasted. The can be carved like pumpkins at halloween or feed to livestock. In England they leave them in the fields for the sheep in early Spring.
