Tomato preperation and quanity

Answers:

If you have medium to large tomatoes it will take30-40 tomatoesYou will know as you cut them up into the pot you want to make them in.If you don't have enough tomatoes just add some tomato juice or V8 juice.

First wash the tomatoes. Bring a pan of water to a boil and then put a few tomatoes in the water at a time. You only have to leave the tomatoes in the water for 30sec to 1 min. Scoop them out with a spoon. Cut out the core and slice off the bottom.Peel. Cut in half and remove seeds. If you don't mind seed in your chili you don't have to take them out. Cut tomatoe into chunks. Cook with spices smashing them with a old fashion potato masher. If you don't have one you can take some of your cut up tomatoes and put them in a blender or food processor. (this makes some juice for the chunks. Simmer with the spices..diced onion, cumin, chili powder, salt and pepper and what ever else you like in your chili. Add beans and meat. Ready to eat.
