I want to replicate a chili made with pulled pork, help?!

Question:

I want to replicate a chili made with pulled pork, help?

I recently had a chili at a chili-cookoff in downtown Ithaca, NY that blew my mouth away. It was made with bbq pulled pork and used ground pumpkin seeds as a thickening agent. It also had a slight sweet bbq sauce undertone to it, which made it stand out from all other chili's I've had. I was wondering if anyone had access to a recipe or could begin to tell me how to replicate this. Can I just add bbq sauce to my chili recipe? I just want some ideas

Answers:

you really should have asked or taken a sample home and tasted it slowly so you can decipher the flavors. I didn't eat it so I cannot tell you what to do. You can make pulled pork on the stove top in a dutch oven and add barbeque sauce later and shred it with two forks, but that's only the pork part....the rest is in your taste buds. Write to the sponsor of that event and see if you can get the recipe.
