I need help figuring out the best way to use this recipe to make popcorn balls! (kinda long)?!

Question:

I need help figuring out the best way to use this recipe to make popcorn balls! (kinda long)?

I want to use this recipe to make popcorn balls but I also want to add M&M's and drizzle chocolate over the top of the popcorn balls. These are my questions regarding how to do it...

Recipe- http://allrecipes.com/recipe/peanut-butt...

1. The recipe does not say to "dry" out the coated popcorn in the oven but the reviewers said to bake it in the oven to crisp it up. Do I still bake it even though I am going to form balls or do I just form the balls and dont worry about baking them? Which way will leave me with crunchy balls that stay in form?

2. When should I add the candies?

3. What kind of chocolate is best for drizzling? Everytime I use chocolate to drizzle overtop it never hardens and ends up messy.

I would really appreciate any tips you can give!!!!

Answers:

hersheys makes hard shell coating ,mostly used for frozen bananas, as far as baking balls its good cause it carmelises the syrup and with the added butter drizzle it gives it an almost fried crunch not to say flavor !
