What's a good hot sammie or other recipe for a party crowd?!

Question:

What's a good hot sammie or other recipe for a party crowd?

I am having my son's second birthday party this weekend and have about 25 people coming, mostly adults and a few infants. I have a couple crockpots that I love using and wanted to know suggestions for a hot sandwich recipe or something else I can make in bulk. Thanks!

Answers:

Pulled BBQ pork: put a seasoned Boston butt roast in the crock topped with a bottle of barbecue sauce on low. Leave the lid on and in 6-8 hours take off the lid and stir, this will effectively shred the tender, delicious meat, just remove any bones.

You can do the same thing with a beef chuck roast, or even boneless, skinless chicken (include some thighs).

A delicious beef can be done in a similar fashion without using BBQ sauce if you wanted a beef dip sandwich. Put your beef roast in the pot with some onions, onion soup mix, and stock or broth. Cook like you would a pulled pork BBQ and serve on buns, juice from the crock as au jus, or with some cheese (shredded or even cheese whiz heated in another crock) to add for cheesesteaks.

Sloppy joes do well in a crockpot.
