Question:

Pancake mix from a catering sized bag 3.8kg?

says it'll make over 1000 pancakes lol
but i only wanna make 3-4 at a time
ok i found 3 big spoons and about 100ml water and mix but some times the pancakes dont seam right?
whats best way of cooking them ?
i use butter not oil in frying pan

ok its says 1kg add 1.75 litres water = 48 portions

or 1lb add 1 pint 8 fl oz water = 22 portions


Answers:

If your pancakes are turning out a little flat, then add a bit more mix to the batter (so it's thicker...the thicker it is, the fluffier the pancakes will be). Also using a whisk will put more air into the batter.

As for cooking, I use a flat square griddle, lightly coated with Pam (or whatever brand of spray oil you prefer). The oil has a higher temp tolerance, so won't scorch as easily (this will help to avoid the funky flavor as well).
