Would it be okay if I used cornmeal to fry my chicken, pork chops, and steak?!

Question:

Would it be okay if I used cornmeal to fry my chicken, pork chops, and steak?

Answers: it is perfectly fine, make sure add flour though ( more flour than cornmeal) and i always dip meat or tomatoes or pickles, etc.. in a egg, milk mixture and i coat it twice, when you fry it make sure that you are only turning it twice, you can just lift it easily with your fork and see if it is getting golden, and then turn it. add lots of good seasoning to your mixture ( i use cajun seasoning, garlic, zesty seasoning salt, pepper ) and it is always good. sure just mix a little flour with it Yep for chicken and pork chops. I don't know about steak though. It would be quite crunchy when you eat it. Why not? It sounds good! Cornmeal might burn before the meat is cooked through. Good idea to partially cook the meat first before breading. If u coat it pretty thick it should work for u but may burn easy so be careful... I don't like using cornmeal to bread anything but fish. I just don't like it with chicken. And I never bread pork or beef at all. Best with deep fried catfish in my opinion, but still I use mostly flour with some cornmeal added.
