Does anyone have a recipe for Swiss Steak?!

Question:

Does anyone have a recipe for Swiss Steak?

My mom makes a good Swiss Steak using ketchup, worchestershire sauce, onions, and I don't know what else. Does anyone know the recipe? I want to make it for dinner tonight.

Answers: I don’t know if this is the exact recipe your mother uses, but I think you will be able to adjust it to your taste.

SWISS STEAK

2 lb. Round Steak, 1 inch thick
Flour
1 Lg. Onion
1Green Bell Pepper
4 Stalks Celery
3 lg .Carrots
1 28 oz. Can Tomatoes
1/3 C. Catsup
1 8 oz. Can Tomato Sauce
2 tsp. Horseradish
1 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
Salt and Pepper to taste

Roll meat in flour and brown in fat in skillet. Place in a large, deep baking dish. Cut onion, pepper, celery, and carrots in large pieces and add to the meat. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over the meat. Bake covered, for 2 to 2-1/2 hours at 325 F. until tender. bettycrocker.com has a recipe for it. However, it doesn't have ketchup and takes 7 hours in the crock pot. Good luck to you. Try this one:
