Question:

I want to grill my steak with mushrooms and corn. how should i best do that?

Answers: I highly recommend you prepare each thing separately. Cook mushrooms until well, done with real butter and a shot of beer. when cooked to your liking add a squirt of fresh lemon juice, salt and pepper. Boil corn until tender, 7-8 minutes, drain and add butter and chili powder, plus salt and pepper.

Have steak at room temperature. Season but not with salt. Have your pan smoking hot, or barbecue. Add olive oil if using a pan. Cook roughly 5 minutes on each side (depending on thickness of steak of course). DON'T flip steak until your fairly certain the one side is done. Once cooked let rest briefly to solidify juices a bit. Salt at the end if desired. OH, i love my steak with carmalized red onions and a bit of gorgonzola or goat cheese. Enjoy. wrap it all in foil then put it on the grill Marinate the steak with a mix of A1, italian dressing, italian seasoning and a little bit of garlic salt for at least an hour. Cut fresh mushrooms and wrap in foil with butter and a little bit of fresh garlic or garlic salt. I would spray the foil so nothing sticks. Enjoy! go to this recipe site:

ohhh wow, this is so delicious ... Need about 6 steaks and 2 cases of beer -- for your friends at the cook out. Someone will take charge of the steak and they will be cooked just right. Mushrooms are in the pot on the stove --- if ya want add some beef gravey out of the can to the mushrooms... I'm for simple cooking so...... bring the meat to room temperature.
If the corn is still in the husk then soak it in salty water.
What mushrooms are we talking about? If is the simple champignon (white caps aka button) then you'll need to bring a pan to the grill, add some olive oil, a small hot pepper (or a dash of cayenne) and some crushed garlic. Add as much sliced or quartered mushrooms as will fit and stir with a wooden spoon - salt to taste. When done set aside (and hide or your friends will start to eat them!). If they get cold warm up as you are doing up the last of the fisrt round of steaks.
Two ways to do the corn - straight on the grill (the coals must be white hot and no longer be flaming) in the husks or husked and wrapped in cooking foil. Grill until ready.
The steaks last - salt & pepper them and cook - rare, medium or well done.
Serve all together. Have butter on the table for the corn. Steak sauces of the table for those who want to hide the taste of the expensive steaks your purchased. It depends on the cut of steak. Generally I like to have my steak at room temp before I cook it. Simple salt and pepper and throw on the grill. As for the mushrooms I would skewer them. I prefer to sautee them, but if you are going to grill, baste with olive oil, salt and pepper. As for the corn, I like to grill mine in the husk. Soak them in water with equal parts salt and sugar for about 1/2 hour. For 4 husks I generally use about 1/4 cups each salt and sugar. Throw them on a medium high grill for about 10 minutes.
