Do you wash ground beef and steaks with water before cooking them?!
Do you wash ground beef and steaks with water before cooking them?
Or do you just cook/grill it without washing, meaning you assume it is good/clean enough the way it was packed in the store? THANKS
Answers: Steaks sometimes, ground beef never. You really shouldn't have to, the stores take care of making sure that your food is safe to eat. Also, any harmful bacteria will be killed if you cook your meat properly. its depends on the store with ground beef..but if im washin them i put them in a strainer...steaks yes! always i wash them before cooking or adding ingredients! washing ti isnt necessary unless it has dirt on it because otherwise your wasting time. any germs die from the cooking process I've never heard of washing any sort of meat. If there's anything unclean about the meat, it will be on a microbiological level, something that water won't help with at all. did your spaceship just land here?
if you cook meat thoroughly, it kills all Bactria
If I helped, don't forget my star please! I just cook it...whatever is in the juice or what not...A)just washing raw meat in water isnt going to do much B)when you cook it...if you cook it completely and put in on a clean plate afterwards....is going to kill all that bad stuff. So there's no point in rinsing it. Rinsing veggies and fruit yes....there is a point in that...but meat...no NO NO NO NO NO NO you can never be sure in their package,so you should always wash it really good, for sanitation purposes and for the safety of those who will intake the food...wether it is pack or not... If you don't think it is OK the way it was packed in the store, you need to shop elsewhere else.
You can't *make* beef clean; you have to *keep* it clean. Nobody washes beef, some may marinade the beef with a little red wine, oil and salt and pepper, but no washing. i wash it down with a good beer If you accidentally drop your meat on the floor you should rinse it off! I never heard of washing ground beef. When I take a steak out of the package I usually scrape it with a knife.
gere i don't think you wash ground beef
but i think u wash steak with vinager. There's really no point in washing ground beef, but as far as steaks go you can usually smell the meat and tell if it needs a good rinse. if its new meat then i don't not but if its older and smells a little funny but not bad then i do. steaks yes On occasion I have but currently have meat from a trusted butcher. your grill will get them hot enough to clean them
