Is it true hot vegetables and cold vegetables?!

Question:

Is it true hot vegetables and cold vegetables?

my mother -in- law saying some vegetables like ladeis finger is cold and rotti(atta) is hot

Answers: Yes there are vegetable which have cooler and hot properties i:e bringal has hot properties long gourd has cool property like that and if taken cool one body will be cool and toxin will be flush out too. There are vegetable which have hot property if consumes body will produce more acid . In hindi u say garam tasir. I don't really understand your question, but all vegetables can be prepared both cold and hot-some are simply better one way or the other. whats the question??? some veggies are good both ways and some are harder to digest.. so what is it you need to know?? Yes. Some add heat to your body and some make your body cool. May be that is what your mother must have meant by 'hot' and 'cold' vegetables. Yeah , it is true in this way. Some Vegetables will be giving side effects particualarly at some times, like we should not take leaf vegetables in rainy season because in rainy season there will be catterpillers prodn time.
Not to take Rice much in winter season as it will not produce much hot to the body.
etc. *yup !!! it is true !!
It is called the ''tashir'' of the ingredients .....like hot or cold ..... some things wn eaten, are heaty to the body and some are the coolers !!!!
Like dates [khajur] & til are heaty so are papayas and chikoos !!!! yaa . this is the thing which can be explained better in ayurvedic language, as there r some food which can be easily digested while others take time in the same way when u have piles doctor suggests u to have some specific food that is he wants to stop u from having food which causes obstruction in the outflow of excretion of waste from the body, and these waste material if not exited cause a lot of trouble. it is the food which have fibre and cause extra flow of urine extra are considered cold vegetables while which cause obstruction are hot vegetables
