Baking Pretzels: Which Oven Rack?!

Question:

Baking Pretzels: Which Oven Rack?

I'm following the Better Homes & Gardens Cookbook recipe for PRETZELS (the traditional kind), which calls for a preliminary 4-minute, 475 degree bake, followed by a 2-minute boil, followed by a cooler, longer bake (I believe it's 350 degrees for like 35 minutes or something).

HERE'S THE QUESTION:
My oven has 4 racks. Should I go with rack B (second from the bottom) or rack C (one up from B, or second from the top), or, god forbid, rack A or D (sacrebleu!)?

If you've baked these yeasty beasts before, please let me know what works best for the two baking phases.

Thanks a bzillion.
