Pot of barbecue ribs left out- Still safe to eat?!

Question:

Pot of barbecue ribs left out- Still safe to eat?

I made a pot of ribs for dinner. I forgot to put it away til about 2:30 this morning. The pot was covered.
It should still be safe right?

Answers: If they sat out for more than 4 hours unrefrigerated (which it sounds like they did), then you should trash them.

You could still get sick after reheating them. trash them to be on the real safe side! not sure....but i think i would save them....lol...they are ribs... go for it.... still safe...... unless it's hot where you live and you didn't use serving utensils i dont think you shold eat pork if it left out more than 2 hours after that, there are bacteria that gets into it...covered or not yep, if you dont die within 2 hours after eating it - its ok yes if you want food poisen Tomato based BBQ Sauce? They will be fine.

Bert Ray, do not eat those ribs..............

Bacteria start to multiply when food cools into the danger zone between 40 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit."
... throw away cold food that has been out for two or more hours. And if outside temperatures rise to over 90 degrees, only keep the food out for one hour.

Amen
Bbellehumeur I would suggest making sure you re-heat them up really good. But I'm guessing they'll be alright.
