THANKS for the answers guys... i know i can make it but the crust was homemade and really good nothing i've seen or tasted before kinda looked like the way a craker looks lol... Sounds like what my mom calls "Four Layer Chocolate Dessert", and my mother in law calls "Four Layer Chocolate Delight -- although some people call it Chocolate Pie.
Here is my mom's recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt 1 stick of butter in a 9 x 13 " Pyrex baking dish. Mix together 1 c. flour, 2 T. sugar adn 1/2 c. chopped nuts (pecans are good). Add melted butter to flour mixture, mix well, press into bottom of baking dish. Bake about 10 minutes, or until brown around the edges. Remove from oven, allow to cool completely. Mix 8 ounces softened cream cheese with 1 c. sugar, fold in 1 c. Cool Whip. Spread on top of cooled crust. Mix 2 boxes of instant chocolate pudding, Spread on top of cream cheese mixture. Top with rest of Cool Whip, can sprinkle chopped nuts on top. Chill for several hours. I think it's called Tiramisu... did it have a bit of a coffee flavor too? it sounds like a Tiramisu, those are yummy! I don't know, but look on the web sites for MILK and JELLO recipes! sounds absolutely delish!!! I have no idea what the cook may have called it, but it would be so easy to make.
any kind of cookie dough lightly baked, graham cracker or short bread crust/butter and sugar, or something like that.
use instant pudding box mix according to recipe, top with thawed cool whip adding pecans and drizzle fudge ice cream topping over. Call it what you want!!
I call experiments like that "Stuff!!" No, it's not Tirimisu. It would just be a pudding pie of somekind. You can buy those pie crusts at the store already made. Get a box of your favorite flavor of pudding and make it.
It's not hard. I guess it's one of the Kraft's recipe, or the one you may find in Baker's Square. That sounds like chocolate pie. And you make it just like you described it. Already made pie crust, they come in chocolate or gram or plain, chocolate pudding as instructed on box. Chill it in the fridge for an hour or so, top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup and nuts.
SO simple and yummy! Tllew1's recipe is one that has been prepared every holiday for over 20 years in our family.....
We have always called it "Better than Sex Dessert"
There are many variations by that name on the web, but we always go back to the original recipe.
Swear I could eat an entire pan of this stuff.
