Answers: Yea thats fine, dont do it for too long otherwise the cheese will go hard. It tastes better when its melted in the oven or under a grill. If you live in England, I recomend 'frontera' medium salsa available from waitrose (imported from USA), Sure. I've been doing that for years. Place the chips on a plate and top with cheese....use 30 second intervals until cheese is melted. My son constantly makes Nachos and he melts it in the microwave, put the chips on a plate, adds the shredded cheese and pops it on in. cheese yes but not the nachos.you can also microwave the cheese and spread it on toast with a bit of brown sauce for a tasty snack, quicker than grilling it yea, i do it all the time unwise, makes everything to soggy nachos in oven at 400deg for 10min
cheese in microwave, cover nachos with cheese, chili, onion's and whatever else you have. HMMMMMM!! I do it all the time. It taste really good. Place the chips on a plate, make sure they are not overlapping too much, put shredded cheese on top and microwave. The time really depends on the microwave. It only takes 30 seconds in mine. It is okay to microwave the cheddar cheese to warm it up. It is not a good idea to microwave the chips. What you can do is make your own super nachos. If you have a stove you can deep fry the tortilla chips (they are so good that way!) Then warm up the cheese in the microwave and add your choice of meat, tomatoes, sour cream and jalapenos. Yummy! You most certainly can microwave nachos. you can either bake in the oven at 200 or microwave for 20sec. Yes, you can microwave them. I used to work at a fast food restaurant and that was how we made them. Then, add jalapeno chillies and sour cream. These go SO well with Nachos! If you like soggy Nachos, go ahead.... The nachos might go a bit soggy, if you do them in the oven they will stay nice and crispy.
