I have a can of these Hokan Fancy Cocktail Smoked Oysters and I am not sure how to make them.

Answers: Great...I have a realllly good one for you. I'm so glad you asked.

Buy or make pie crust. (the pillsbury brand ready crusts in the dairy section is the best for this).

Roll the dough out a little thinner than regular pie crust, then cut into 2" circles.

Put an oyster on each circle, with plenty of the oil "sauce" that is in the jar, then fold the circle in half and seal.

Fry in a skillet til brown. Great appetizer.

I haven't tried this, but you could probably bake these too. I think this recipe called for a horseradish dipping sauce, but they are fine by themselves.

Y...viva Uruguay! All you need to do is get some Club crackers and eat them together. YUM. I don't eat them, but my husband will buy smoked oysters & smoked mussels once in a while. He just drains them, puts them on a plate with some wheat thin crackers. Then he just places one on a wheat thin cracker & adds a shake or several shakes of Frank's Red Hot Sauce & pops it in his mouth...
I cook with raw oysters, but I have never figured out what to do with the smoked ones. My mother would rinse them in a small colander, then chop them lightly and mix them into stuffing for the Thanksgiving or Christmas turkey, it's great in stuffing! I like to eat them right out of the tin with a ritz cracker.
