Question:

If I put to much salt in a dish can it be fixed?

Answers: Really the only way to diminish the salt is to add more of the other ingredients to the dish; in other words, add more of every ingredient except the salt. This is also the only way to fix recipes when you've added too much hot sauce, Tabasco, cayenne pepper, or chilies. Source(s):
http://busycooks.about.com/library/lesso... Sugar can be used ot cut the salt tast of the dish. it depends what the dish is an dif it has already been cooked. No A trick I have learned is to put a few chunks of raw potato in the dish and cook a little while longer. Stir. Remove potato chunks. The potatoes will soak up some of the salt.

Good Luck :) usually no....however, if it is something that has a sauce if you add a lot of sauce to it it will usually eliminate the excess salt taste i hope it turns ouit ok toss in a peeled potato or 2 and a carrot or 2. These will absorb the salt and can be yanked out and discarded or saved for soup or stew.even better if chopped. dont add more ingredients...the potato always works!!
