The easier the better.

Lol...I wish you could all come but then it would be like one crab leg per person and probably not worth it.
I had a trip to New York fall through so I am consoling my self with crab and wine tonight.

I figured if I was gonna blow 800$ on airfare I could probably spring for some good crab and wine.

I figured if I was gonna blow 800$ on airfare I could probably spring for some good crab and wine. Crab meat is sweet and is usually served or cooked with lemon which makes it sour giving you a sweet and sour combination. A bitter vegetable like asparagus, broccoli, spinach, or a blander vegetable like zucchini or yellow squash will compliment it well. I am partial to cheesy mash potatoes but a creamy rice side will also work. If you want to add a wine, definitely go with a white like a Chablis or a sauvignion blanc. I am starving now, thank you. creamed spinach and tater tots. Steamed asparagus or a small salad. Warm bread.
Mmmmmmmm....what time is dinner? :-D zatarain's rice pilaf
steamed green beans Seafood is always good with steamed broccoli. And slice some potatoes, season them (you can never go wrong with garlic, basil, salt and pepper), and pan fry them in olive oil until they're brown. Very easy, but will taste excellent. Can I come to your house for dinner? Twice baked potatoes
Yellow squash, zucchini, red peppers and purple onion sauteed in butter....topped with freshly grated parmesan cheese. Boil some potatoes with Old Bay seasoning and salt the water really well. How about some corn on the cob? Or a nice salad and crusty bread? Cook it all together- Crab legs, potatoes, corn on the cob.
In a large pot, put water and shrimp/crab boil. Add chunks of potatoes and cook until almost done. Add corn on the cob and the crab. Cook until crab turns red.
Drain, turn out on newspaper covered table and serve with plenty of melted butter, napkins, and beer.
Optional: Add some smoked sausage or kielbase with the potatoes.
