Who has tried octopus?!

Question:

Who has tried octopus?

if so what was it like?

Answers: Fantastic! Lightly grilled served with a lemon garlic butter. Make sure they don't overcook it though, it gets very rubbery It's really really rubbery.

Good though. Doesn't seem to have a whole lot of flavour itself, so it's mostly the spicing. Atleast it seemed that way when I had it. Tastes rubbery. Octopus is really really tender when in a cold salad in spain, i think it is marinaded in olive oil very nice Very chewy and tough, not much flavour apart from sea water, usually needs a nice sauce or a lot of seasoning to taste of something.

I prefer calamari. (Battered squid rings) ok. it would not be something i would want to try. If prepared correctly- octopus ( tako) sushi is wonderful- a nice subtle flavor with a bit of a textural "bite" but not rubbery. It is a cooked sushi. basically, its just like eating squid. a bit rubbery in texture, with a little resistance to the bite. but, if prepared right, its an enjoyable delicacy. i have... lol...It was fried octopus.. we were on vacation in New York.. I thought it was moz. cheese sticks.. LOL
It was okay.... kinda cheewy though.
