I have to make dinner saturday in the crock pot cuz i'll be gone later on. anyone have any idas of what to make?

4 lbs. corned beef
7 to 8 lg. potatoes
1 lg. head cabbage, cut into 8 wedges
8 med. carrots
6 med. onions
1 lg. turnip

Put corned beef in a large pot, cover with water and cook 3 hours. Now, wash, peel and slice all of the vegetables. When the corned beef is tender, add the vegetables and simmer until the vegetables are cooked. Drain the water off, place on a large platter then add butter and seasoning as desired. just click the meal type you want... bbq pork . . . put a pork loin and a 1/2 can of beer in the crock pot on low for 8 hours . . . it's done when it can be shredded with a fork. shred it, mix with bbq sauce and put it on a bun! Pulled Pork
Season a Boston Butt (Blade Shoulder) with garlic, salt, and pepper, place in the slow cooker on low with about 1 inch of water and cook all day. When done, remove from pot and cool until it is cool enough to handle, then pull apart and serve on buns or as a side with cole slaw and yellow rice. I have one cooking today at home that I plan to serve with bbq sauce on Saturday to feed my family while we are painting my mom's house. It's always delicious and the good thing about pulled pork is that it can be flavored with a variety of sauces. You can make just about anything in a crock pot. I have made roasts, stews, chicken's, chops, ribs, soups, even spaghetti sauce in my crock pot. If you have a recipe book that came with your crock pot. Look through that. It will have recipes and cooking times for everything. Browned Chicken or rabbit pieces, onions, carrots, and potatoes, and celery. Add a can of broth, and some heavy red wine or sherry or port, garlic, salt and pepper. Before you eat it, stir in a little light cream. Yep you will make it every day if you could after this.

Chicken
2 cans of cream of chicken soup (depending on lbs of chicken)
Cream cheese (1 cube 8 ounces I think)
1 italian ranch dressing (ie ranch dressing)

Just throw that all in there and 5 hours later. Everybody wants it. It only takes 1 can if you just throw it over rice. Or maybe its 2 cans if people want gravy.

Do it once, you will do it again.

Ingredients:
1 whole roaster chicken
1 small red onion
3-4 sprigs cilantro
1/2 tsp Goya adobo with lemon seasoning
1/2 tsp minced garlic
1/4 tsp white vinegar
1 or 1/2 envelope of Sazon Goya with cilantro and cumin flavors
1 Tbsp sofrito (Goya brand or make your own)

Method
Remove giblets from roaster and wash chicken throughly in cold water. Pat dry with paper towels and place in crockpot. Rub down with white vinegar first, adding a drop or two to the cavity. Rub skin with adobo and sazon (sazon may stain skin). Finish final rub with sofrito. Peel and cut red onion in half. Rinse cilantro and break up with fingers. Place onion and cilantro in cavity of chicken. Place chiken in crockpot belly down for juicier chicken. Set crockpot for desired time and let it cook until tender.

Notes: This is my favorite recipe. I prepare everything the night before. I even bake potatoes plus vegetables with butter and seaonings (wrap each in foil) right in the crockpot.

Awesome Crock Pot Lasagna
Ingredients:
1/2 lb Italian sausage
1/2 lb ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 4 ounce can sliced mushrooms
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup dry red wine
3 cups spaghetti sauce
1 6 ounce can tomato paste
1 8 ounce can tomato sauce
12 lasagna noodles, uncooked
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 cups ricotta cheese or cottage cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons parsley flakes
1 dash fresh ground black pepper2 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
Method
Brown meat and onion in large skillet and drain off excess fat. Add garlic, mushrooms, salt, wine, spaghetti sauce, paste, and tomato sauce to meat mixture, mix well and set aside. In a medium bowl combine egg, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese and parsley flakes, and set aside. Spray crock pot with cooking oil. Layer in a 5 to 6 quart crock pot 4 noodles, broken into pieces to fit. Spread half the ricotta cheese mixture over noodles. Top with 1/4 of meat mixture and 1/4 of shredded cheese. Top with 4 noodles, remaining cheese mixture, 1/4 of meat mixture and 1/4 shredded cheese. Add remaining 4 noodles and remaining meat mixture. Cover and cook on low setting for 4 to 7 hours. About 10 minutes before serving, sprinkle with remaining shredded cheese. Cover and let stand 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Notes: I created this dish, so that my family could enjoy lasagna after a long day away from home. Throw chicken in it with some bbq sauce or some italian dressing... You can also use pork chops and italian dressing. It's quick, simple and very good. 1 pork roast

Peal and cut potato's in to bite size pieces, Put everything into crock-pot and cover with water, Put on low for 8 to 10 hours. or high for half the time. There is your whole meal in one pan. Sweet and Sour Sausage
INGREDIENTS
6 tablespoons butter
2 large onions, sliced
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 (28 ounce) bottle ketchup
3 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons spicy brown mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
1 pound kielbasa sausage, cut into 1 inch pieces

DIRECTIONS
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Saute onions until tender. Stir in brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and pepper sauce. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes.
Place sausage in a slow cooker with the sauce and onions. Cook on low for 4 to 5 hours. The longer it simmers the better

Slow Cooker Beef Stew
INGREDIENTS
2 pounds stew meat, trimmed and cubed
3 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup
1 (16 ounce) package egg noodles

DIRECTIONS
Spray the inside of a slow cooker with the vegetable cooking spray. Add the meat and the soups to the slow cooker.
Cook on low setting for 8 to 10 hours.
Prepare noodles according to package directions.
When stew is ready, pour over the noodles and serve hot

Veggie-Beef Soup
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 pounds cubed beef stew meat
2 cups water
1 small onion, chopped
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
1 (16 ounce) package frozen mixed vegetables
2 potatoes, peeled and cubed
10 cubes beef bouillon, crumbled
2 teaspoons ground black pepper
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon dried basil

DIRECTIONS
Place beef in a slow cooker. Pour in water. Stir in onion, tomatoes, mixed vegetables and potatoes. Season with bouillon, pepper, salt and basil. Cook on low 8 hours. roast, carrots , potatoes and add Campbell's french onion soup it makes for good gravy Alfredo Chicken breast with broccoli florets, carrots, water chestnut. I was bored and put boneless skinless chicken breast in the crock pot, bought jarred Alfredo sauce and a bag of frozen broccoli, carrots and water chestnuts. combine them in the crock pot and turn it on low. it takes about three hours of slow cooking, if your family like pasta, about half and hour before you want to eat add some yolkless egg noodles to the crock pot and stir. it makes a nice meal....most of my meals are done in the crock pot because of the hours i work.... 4 thick pork chops
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 package taco mix
1 (4oz) jar peach preserves
2 (8oz) jars salsa
Coat the pork chops with taco seasoning. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and saute' until brown; drain drippings. Pour 1/2 the peach preserves and 1/2 of the salso in the bottom of the slow cooker. Arrange the chops over the salsa. Add the remaining preserves and salsa and cook on Low for 5 hours. Serves 4.

6-8 chicken breasts
1 pkg dried beef
1/4 cup sour cream
1 can cream of mushroom soup
6-8 slices bacon
1/4 cup flour
Arrange dried beef in bottom of greased crockpot. Wrap chicken in bacon and lay on dried beef. Mix sour cream with flour,then with mushroom soup. stir well and pour over chicken. cover and cook for 8-10 hours on low. This is good by itself or you can serve over noodles or rice. Add a salad and you have a great meal. NOTE: I wash the dried beef in warm water and then drained, to take away the saltiness. I was really hesitant to try this recipe at first. I thought the bacon would make this dish greasy but to my surprise it wasnt. Very delicious

Chicken & Vegetables with Creamy Mustard-Herb Sauce-Woman's Day Magazine
Serves 4
Active: 15 min/Total: 7 to 9 hr on low
1 can (10? oz) condensed cream of chicken soup with herbs
2 leeks (about 8 oz), white and light green parts thinly sliced (1? cups), rinsed, or 1? cups sliced scallions
4 whole chicken legs (about 2? lb), skin removed
4 medium new potatoes (about 12 oz), cut in 1? chunks
8 oz baby carrots (1? cups)
1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
2 Tbsp each snipped dill and sliced scallion
1. Stir soup and leeks in a 3?-qt or larger slow-cooker until blended. Add chicken, potatoes and carrots; stir to mix and coat. 2. Cover and cook on low 7 to 9 hours or until chicken, potatoes and carrots are tender when pierced. 3. Remove chicken and vegetables to serving bowl with a slotted spoon. Add mustard to cooker; whisk until smooth. Stir in the dill and scallion; spoon over chicken and vegetables.

Crockpot Chicken and Rice
3 cans condensed cream of chicken soup
2 cups uncooked instant rice (i use sucess rice)
1 cup water
1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
or chicken breasts tenders
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/2 c. diced celery
Combine soup, rice and water in crockpot. Add chicken;
sprinkle salt, pepper and paprika.
Sprinkle celery over chicken. Cover; cook on low 6 to 8 hours
or on high 3 to 4 hours.
* or use 2 cans cr.of chicken and 1 can cr. of celery
or 2 cans cr. of chicken and 1 can cr. of broccoli
and add pkg of broccoli to last hour of cooking

canned whole green beans-optional
can of cream of mushroom
lipton onion soup envelope
soup can of water
place roast in roasting pan, place veggies around roast, mix soups and water and pour over roast and veggies.
