What should i make him, he is so picky!?!

Question:

What should i make him, he is so picky!?

I need some ideas to make my boyfriend (we live together) for dinner. He is a very meat and potatoes kind of guy (actually potatoes are the one very american food he does not like). he likes corn, not too many green things, basically a typical guy. We usually make tacos (not spicy) or spaghetti. He doesn't like extremely ethnic foods. Got any ideas?

Answers: Tell him to be adventurous!

But, eh, you could try a simple Carbonara. You can find heaps of recipes online. It's basically a pasta like spaghetti or fettucine, pancetta (or just streaky bacon), cream, eggs, parmesan cheese, and lots of freshly ground pepper. It tastes amazing, and it's pretty easy to make. yes, reservations Sheppard's Pie! Easy to make (a little time consuming but you can make two and freeze one.)

All you have to do is boil potatoes and mash them, cook up some lean ground beef and layer them with corn or peas or carrots (the beef then the veggies with potatoes on top, score the potatoes with a fork, if you want you can add a bit of gravy mix to the beef).

Bake when ready! It is done when the potatoes are brown.

(Gatekepa just made me hungry!) alfredo...chicken :) I have been their, done that. really easy to make, really simple in terms of ingrediants, really good and clean in taste mine is the same way, but he loves potatoes.
Try homemade chicken tenders.
Just batter with light oil dip in bread crumbs and spices maybe even a little flour and place on a rack on a baking sheet. I put a little water in the pan to keep them moist. Cook at 350 for about 20 minutes. They are very good and can be served with potatoes, corn, and don't forget the biscuits. I usually go with Grands. Men love those.

as a guy (67) you would never hear that dung from me.
and I would be right in the kitchen with you .
SO tell him to get off his duff and assist you,,, can not read his mind.
(silly subservient women ,,allow yourself to dominated.)
Opinion,,! How about a whoppin with a big wooden spoon? How about a stuffed meatloaf? I am assuming here that he'll eat that.

Okay here's what you do:

If you don't already have this stuff on hand go to the store and buy the following:

crusty rolls

2 pounds of lean ground beef or meatloaf mix (has a small amount of pork in it) or ground turkey or chicken - I personally use the lean ground beef.

onions (white, yellow, or sweet red Italian)

Italian seasoned bread crumbs

Heinz 57 ketchup

eggs

pierogies - get whatever kind Mr. Pickypants will eat, since most of them have potatoes in them.

corn

Italian herbs and spices, salt and pepper

bag of coleslaw shreds from the salad section, dressing, croutons and cheese shreds

Ok, so back from the store and in the kitchen:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Put the meat in a big bowl, chop up an onion or two and add it in, break two eggs and add that in, 2 cups of bread crumbs, add it, a nice big squeeze of ketchup and herbs and spices, salt and pepper, mix it all up together.

Get a big casserole dish or big loaf pan, something with high sides. Now take some of you mixture and and press into the bottom of pan, forming a nice bottom crust, and up the sides too, ok now take the pierogis and stand them up on end in the well you created. Like this |LLLLLL| Then dump the corn (drained) over the top to fill in any gaps, now put a lid on it made out of the remaining meat. Top with ketchup.

Bake about an hour, just make sure you keep checking it after about 40 minutes. Serve with a coleslaw salad (hey its not green!) You can substitute rice or macaroni and cheese or whatever else you can come up with for the pierogies, if he won't eat them. But they do come in sauerkraut and you can always add cheese to it. Don't forget the rolls. BBQ beef would be a good choice

Put a roast in the crock pot on low heat for the day. When it is nice a tender turn it off and let it cool. Shred the meat and add BBQ sauce and then heat until good and hot. Serve on buns.

Some good side dishes for this
Chips
Any kind of potato's (hashbrowns, fried, baked, etc)
Mac and Cheese
Rice a Roni
Liptons noodles and sauce
Baked beans
Your options are endless with this. Make whatever and tell him if he can't eat it then go hungry. LOL Omlettes! You can put anything in them at all and they're fun for dinner - not just breakfast!

Or corn chowder? Or burritos? How about steak, meat loaf, in the meatloaf you add stovetop stuffing to make it moist and a small can of tomato paste, an egg to bind it all. Put the meat mixture into the loaf pan or baking dish, mix ketchup and brown sugar together and pour on top of the meat loaf and bake at 350 for an hour.
