URGENT! Which parts of chicken are white meat?!

Question:

URGENT! Which parts of chicken are white meat?

I have a whole ziplock bag of chicken parts and very little time. Which ones are white meat and which ones are dark meat? I have no idea..(I don't eat it..I just cook meat). Also does it take the same amount of time to boil chicken parts on the bone as it does to cook the same parts just boneless? I think it takes a little more time to cook ones on the bone. Is that right?

Answers: breast and wing are white meat - leg and thigh are dark meat - bones don't make much difference - breast can dry out really fast if overcooked. The breast is the white meat, I'm pretty sure the rest is all dark....and yea, it takes longer if it's on the bone THE BREAST ARE WHITE MEAT-- THIGHS ARE ALL SO.

THE BREAST TAKE THE LEAST AMOUNT OF COOKING TIME. IT DOESN'T REALLY TAKE ANY MORE OR LESS TIME TO COOK WITH THE BONE IN--- BUT I THINK IT TASTE BETTER WITH THE BONE IN. The breast is considered white meat. and the thighs and drums dark meat.
Drums and thighs are generally cheaper as people prefer the breast which is easier to cook and to me is bland.
The leg has more taste to me, and only only takes a little more to cook. tHE WHITE MEAT IS THE BIG PIECES ,THE BREAST , AND THEY TAKE LONGER TO COOK BECAUSE THEY ARE THICKER .THE LEGS AND THIGHS THAT ARE CONNECTED, AND WINGS ARE THE DARK MEAT.OH AND THE BACK OR BONEY PART IS DARK MEAT TOO BUT VERY LITTLE MEAT ON IT ..... hOPE THIS HELPS iT'S ALL GOOD!!!!! The breast is the white meat, and the rest of it is considered the dark meat. It takes a few minutes longer if it has the bones in it. The white meat is the breast. The boneless does take less time to cook.
