Question:

I need some great make-ahead breakfast recipes that I can cook this weekend for my kids on school mornings?

Would like some that I can do today either for the freezer or maybe crockpot--any ideas?

Answers: Waffles freeze well.
Fruit and cereal.
Crepes freeze well.
Yogurt.
Whole wheat muffins. Make extra pancakes and freeze for future use. A shredded potato / cheese casserole reheats well. If you make Breakfast Tacos. Make some scrambled eggs, bacon and cook some tortillas. Put the egg in first the put like 2 bacon strips on top of that then wrap it up in some foil and then in the mornings, put some cheese in them and microwave them for like 30 sec. there also easy on those late mornings so they can be for to go! I use these places as well as bettycrocker.com
To get mine, you can make ahead some of these and even freeze them which I've had to do when I was going away or in the hopsital for planned visits. You can also use some of these to give the kids and family in lunches as well and make it interesting.

another thing I do is make fruit pizza.
Graham craker crust or giant sugar cookies, / with a frosting made from cream cheese, & powdered sugar spread on the crust or cookies like you would pizza sauce, then pile on a variety of fruit, like manderin orange slices, bananas, grapes, cherries, kiwi, and pineapple, make sure the fruit is sitting on there good not just thrown on the frosting so they dont slide off when picked up. , and you can decorate with whipped toppings if you eat it at home. Breakfast burritos are great. Just wrap them individually and freeze. Pull out and heat.

You can also make waffles and pancakes ahead and then stick in fridge or freezer. Pull out and put in the toaster. I had a lunch party for many people last Sunday afternoon.
I want to tell you that waffles and crepes were served with sliced bananas, berries and sliced strawberries. There was also maple syrup and chocolate syrup as well as whipping cream as a side choice. The idea that worked so well, was that the caterer brought waffles and crepes folded in four pre- prepared, and I mean he brought about 100 crepes and 100 waffles. The caterer made them in his kitchen and froze them, then brought them to me the day of the party. They could work also for you. He set up a pan on a hot plate and put a little butter in the pan and heated up what people wanted. The guests then spooned onto their choices, a garnish of their own choosing from the sides that I described. It worked beautifully and smelled incredible. Knowing this I could do it myself for my own family also. Crosants(that is probably not how you spell it) from supper the night before and just heat for 7 sec. in a mic. and then addd jelly and butter really good! If you have a blender, this is something that my kids enjoy. Put some ice in the blender, add a container of yogurt (I usually use plain) then add frozen fruits and blend. It makes a fruit smootie that is great! Have a great day!
