Potatoes...Do you like them? And how?!

Question:

Potatoes...Do you like them? And how?

My favorite is made from scratch mashed potatoes, with minced onions, sea salt, black pepper, bacon drppings, a pinch of fresh parsley, butter & sour cream. Gravy is not even necessary.

Answers: I love potatoes!!

This may sound odd but when you go to make French Fries get everything ready and slightly moisten your potato strips and salt, pepper and lightly flour your strips. Fry these and you will have some amazing crisp French Fries. WONDERFUL!

Here are some more great recipes my family love!

Man-Pleasing Potatoes
5 lbs. potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 stick margarine
1 box Lipton Spring Vegetable Soup (2 packets)
Heat oven to 350o. Put potatoes into 3-qt. casserole dish. Cut butter into pats on top of potatoes. Sprinkle soup over potatoes. Do not mix. Do not add water. Cover with lid or foil and bake 45 minutes. Cook’s note: Important to keep covered while cooking. Stir before serving. Makes 10-12 servings.

Grilled 3-Cheese Potatoes
6 large potatoes, sliced quarter-inch thick
2 medium onions, chopped
1/3 C. grated Parmesan cheese
1 C. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese, divided
1 C. shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
1 lb. sliced bacon, cooked and crumbled
? C. butter, cubed
1 T. chives
1-2 tsp. seasoned salt
? tsp. pepper
Divided potatoes and onions equally between two pieces of heavy-duty foil (18-inch square) coated with cooking spray. Combine Parmesan cheese and ? C. each Cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle over the potatoes and onions.
Top with bacon, butter, chives, seasoned salt and pepper. Bring opposite ends of foil together over filling and fold down several times. Fold unsealed ends toward filling and crimp tightly. Grill, covered over medium heat for 35 to 40 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Remove from grill. Open foil carefully and sprinkle with remaining cheeses.

1-2 POTATOES PER PERSON
PEEL IT
CUT IT INTO LONG THIN PEICES
ADD SALT AND PEPPER
SOMETIMES I ADD LEMON PEPPER SEASONING
AND A BIT OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF HERBS

AND IT TASTES DELICIOUS 1. Mashed
2. Baked
3. Scalloped
4. Fried i love frensh fries i just love it and mashed potatoes. I like fried sweet potatoes. First peel them with a regular potato peelre then slice them carefully because they are verry hard then fry in butter. Keep turning them often so they dont burn. Sprinkel with salt. Enjoy. Or dont peel them just put them in the microwave. They take a little longer than a russet potato but they are really good sliced down the center with butter and a little salt. Another way to fix sweet potatoes is to peel and slice a couple. Then mix toughter one heeping table spoon of rice flower and four heeping table spoone of self rising wheet flour. take the sliced potatoes and coat them in flower then deep fry them in peanut oil. A little salt and your brand new. Ha Enjoy. there is No way I don't like potatoes.....I guess one of my fav is simply mashed with a touch of butter, sour cream, salt and pepper. Baked- Sour Cream, salt and chives
Mashed- Butter, pepper, salt, and sometimes gravy
Au Gratin- as long as I'm having ham
Fried- salt and ketchup (or catsup)
French Fries and Hash Browns- with ketchup, mustard and ranch
potato chips- any flavor but pickle love them..no matter how they are cooked.. fried with spices ( not going to tell) with hidden valley ranch on the side
