Answers: Cream 125 g (4 oz) softened butter with a cup of sugar, preferably with an electric mixer. Beat two large eggs in a separate bowl until light and fluffy, gradually add to the butter mixture. Sift 1 cup self raising flour and a heaped tablespoon of cocoa powder into a bowl. Gradually fold this into the other mixture, with about half a cup of water.

Pour into a greased microwave container. A ring-shaped container is best for even cooking, especially with microwaves, as they cook very quickly. If you use a solid container, the outside will cook faster than the middle.

Usually, the highest setting for the microwave is the best. It takes approximately 7 minutes, but you have to watch it and take it out at just the right time. Wait until you don't see any more bubbles breaking on the surface of the cake, then stop. A gentle prod on the top should bounce back, although it should still be a bit sticky. Let it rest for a couple of minutes, then turn it over onto a plate.

With microwave baking, it's better to undercook something slightly and have a little layer that's still a bit sticky and undercooked, than to overcook it and have a tough cake. It continues to cook for a little while after you stop microwaving, with a tendency to dry out and get tough, compared with convection oven cakes. I like to leave my microwaved cakes with the container on top of them for a while after I turn them over, to keep the moisture and heat in while they're just finishing that last bit of cooking. The steam inside can also help the cake fall away from the container :) Yes, theres one over here in the UK its made by either McVities or Cadburys and its in a little box and you whack it in the microwave for five and then you have your cake and eat it! it comes in various flavas Microwave Chocolate Cake

Cover and cook in the microwave on high for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes, or until cake springs back when touched. Since all microwaves cook differently, adjust the cooking time to accommodate your machine. To serve, let the cake cool five minutes, then cover the bowl with a plate and turn both bowl and plate upside down so the cake falls onto the plate. Moist Chocolate Cake -- in the microwave
