Do you have a recipe for chicken wings on the grill?
I am participating in a chicken wing cook off, but have never even cooked a burger on the grill much less chicken wings. How do I do this? Its just for fun. If you have a great recipe that would be nice too.

Detroit Hot Honey Wings
INGREDIENTS
* 2 pounds chicken wings, tips discarded
* 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (add more if you can stand it)* * salt and ground black pepper to taste
* 1 cup honey
* 1/2 cup butter, melted
* 1/2 cup hot sauce
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat and lightly oil grate.
2. Wash the wings well and pat dry with paper towel. Season the meat with cayenne, salt, and pepper.
3. Cook the chicken wings on preheated grill until cooked through and juices run clear, 20 to 30 minutes depending on the size of the wings. Brush the wings liberally using 1/2 cup of honey while they are cooking.
4. Melt the butter, pour into a large bowl and mix in the remaining 1/2 cup of honey and hot sauce. Remove the wings from the grill and immediately toss them in the hot honey butter sauce to coat. Serve the wings 'wet' or return them to the grill for 1 minute per side to set the sauce. Source(s):

In other words briefly dip them in boiling water then allow them to cool before grilling. This helps to get rid of excess fat which will drip on the heat source and make black smoke. Grill the wings till almost done then dip in sauce for the final five minutes of cooking. try to think of an unusual but still interesting and accessible sauce. There'll be tons of Buffalo wing variations so something different will stand out. Google some different cuisines or ideas that appeal to you. Here are some ideas Thai, Italian Lemon, BBQ, Chinese, in other words almost any region or BBQ that appeals to you. Fun toppings and/or sauces plus your presentation will greatly add to the appeal . Such as mango salsa with Thai chili wings??? Good Luck! and have fun !!! Yummmy! My favorite. I like skinless grilled chicken wings. I take the skin off. Then I make a dry rub up of thyme, Italian seasoning, garlic powder salt and pepper. I dry rub them then place on a grill. I perfer charcoal. Then I have a sauce on the side I put on top while they are almost done cooking so it can soak in with the dry rub flavor. You can make a BBQ sauce or a hot and tangy sauce. Dont forget honey works great in most sauces!
