What do I do with extra egg yolks?


I have 4 egg yolks left over from baking. What can I make with them?


Answers: You could make a custard, sabayon (zabaglione), pate a bombe. You should be able to find recipes for those by searching google.

Oh, and mayonnaise. add the yolks to scrambled eggs for breakfast.Make a pudding using the yolks. Hollandaise. u can use them in breakfast. but egg yolk has high cholesterol and should be limited to only one per day

buy egg whites next time Make a Key Lime pie. Mix together 1/2 a cup of key lime juice, 4 egg yolks, and 1 can of sweetened condensed milk, and then pour it all in a graham cracker crust, then bake for about 10-12 minutes at 350. It's easy and tastes amazing. how bout doing custard with it?

LECHE FLAN (CUSTARD)

4 egg yolks
1 cup sugar
13 ounces evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Scald milk in a double boiler for 15 minutes. Blend the egg yolks with the sugar, milk, and flavoring.

Pour into mold lined with caramelized sugar. Place this in a bigger pan half filled with water and bake until the mixture becomes firm. Cool before removing from mold.

Serving Size: 6. Paint the kitchen. scrambled eggs, add maybe a teaspoon of water, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, bacon, ham, cheese etc. Voila! Here you go......hope this helps:
