Question:

I have found numerous ones where the book was lost or the card damaged and now I can print them out from my computer and do those recipes from childhood.

one of them was a Betty Crocker from one of those recipes card files. Banana Nut cookies and the Almond Puff. Hmmmm brings back memories.

Which ones, if any, have you found?

Answers: A few years ago I had this vague memory of some kind of treat a room mother (what! that's what they were called!) made for a class treat in 2nd or 3rd grade. All I remembered was that they had peanut butter and those crunchy Chinese noodles. I typed in Chinese noodles and peanut butter and found out they're called "haystacks." Made some and they were just as good as I remembered. :) Actually, I've searched and searched on-line in vain for a recipe that my mother used to have and lost. Glad you found yours.

I'll have to see if anyone can help me find mine. It's a bread and is made in Mexico although the origins of the recipe could be French. Hon, you can find anything and everything on the Internet. The world is literally at our door in this generation. It is pretty crazy as to what you can find on the net. There are so many recipes on yahoo food, one could never find the time to cook them all! I've found a recipe for chocolate covered peanut butter balls. Haven't tried it yet, but I used to love them as a kid. I grew up in Korea and never knew any of american food except burgers and fries... but I'm happy and amazed that I can find all kinds of recipes and try out for my husband.. he's pretty happy,too... lol
