Dessert ideas for picky group of 7?!

Question:

Dessert ideas for picky group of 7?

I need an easy dessert idea for 7 people next weekend, but there are some picky people in this group. So I need something without any vanilla ice cream, chocolate, nuts, bananas, coffee, or raisins. 5 of us studied together in Italy this summer, so if you have any good way to add some Italian influence great (but anything will be welcomed!). Specific desserts/recipes only please

Answers: Lemon is refreshing, and would lend an Italian influence -- how about

Easy Cheesy Lemon Bars
1 box lemon cake mix
1/2 c. butter, room temp
1 egg
8 ounces cream cheese, room temp
1 - 16 ounce can lemon frosting
2 eggs

Combine cake mix, butter and 1 egg, mix well. Press into bottom of greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Blend softened cream cheese and frosting, reserve 1/2 cup. Add 2 eggs to remaining mixture, beat for 3 - 5 minutes. Spread over cake mix. Bake at 350 for 35 - 40 minutes or until light golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool. Frost with 1/2 cup reserved cream cheese mixture, cut into bars. About 3 dozen Apple Pie
Cheesecake
Tarts Fresh Fig Dessert Pizza

1 18 oz. package prepared sugar cookie dough

4 oz. cream cheese, softened

1/4 C. mascarpone or sour cream

1 egg

1 pound firm, ripe fresh figs (about 8 large), quartered

1/4 C. currant or apple jelly

2 t. fresh lemon juice

Preheat oven to 325°F.

Slice and place the cookie dough in a single layer on a 12-inch pizza pan. Allow to stand for a few minutes at room temperature until softened. Flour hands generously and press dough slices together evenly to about 1/4 inch thick, leaving 1/2-inch raised edges all around. Bake at 325°F for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool.

Combine cream cheese, mascarpone and egg in a small bowl. Beat until smooth. Spread evenly over crust except on edges. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until filling is set and lightly browned. Cool.

Just before serving, arrange fig quarters on top. Melt jelly with lemon juice in a small saucepan over low heat and brush onto figs. Cut into wedges.

Makes 8 servings.

ITALIAN DESSERT

1 pkg. soft biscottis (anise flavor)
1 sm. container Cool whip
2 pkgs. cooked pudding (any flavor)

Cut biscottis lengthwise and layer in a 8"x13" dish. Put some pudding on that layer. Alternate layers until pudding and biscottis are used up. Spread Cool Whip on top; refrigerate. Since it's autumn, either double crusted apple pie or Dutch apple pie with the crumbly top. Both are excellent with a slice of sharp cheddar cheese.

Only Italian desserts I can think of are gelato and tiramisu. Tough crowd =) I was going to suggest Gelato, but I don't know if you have an ice cream maker or not. Here is a link to a ton of Italian Dessert recipes that you can choose from. How about a homemade pumpkin pie, or sweet potatoe pie?

INGREDIENTS
Pumpkin Pie

1 medium sugar pumpkin
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
4 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup honey, warmed slightly
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

DIRECTIONS
Cut pumpkin in half, and remove seeds. Lightly oil the cut surface. Place cut side down on a jelly roll pan lined with foil and lightly oiled. Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) until the flesh is tender when poked with a fork. Cool until just warm. Scrape the pumpkin flesh from the peel. Either mash, or puree in small batches in a blender.
In large bowl, blend together 2 cups pumpkin puree, spices, and salt. Beat in eggs, honey, milk, and cream. Pour filling into pie shell.
Bake at 400 degrees F ( 205 degrees C) for 50 to 55 minutes, or until a knife inserted 1 inch from edge of pie comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.

Sweet Potato Pie

INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
1 (5 ounce) can evaporated milk
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups mashed cooked sweet potatoes
1 (9 inch) unbaked pastry shell
GLAZE:
1/2 cup sugar
2 1/4 teaspoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
2 tablespoons evaporated milk

DIRECTIONS
In a bowl, combine sugar, flour, milk, egg and vanilla. Stir in the sweet potatoes. Pour into pastry shell.
For glaze, combine the sugar, flour, butter and milk; drizzle over sweet potato mixture. Cover edges of pastry loosely with foil.
Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove foil; bake 15 minutes longer or until crust is golden brown and a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.

Both of these are great for autumn and taste like you spent hours and hours preparing them. They will also make your home smell like fall.
