The age old debated question that people just can't agree on. So, which is it?


Answers: I hate it when people say "Carmel" It's CAR-A-MEL!

There is a place called mount Carmel and it's a mountain not a yummy topping or candy! caramel Carmel is a city in California, caramel is a form of candy. carmel.....im southern i say carmel caramel Mount Carmel is a mountain range in Palestine, near the Mediterranean coast. Carmel, Indiana is a suburb of Indianapolis, population 18,272.

Carmel is a female given name: from a Hebrew word meaning “garden.”

Carmel is a cirumcised lamb.

Caramel, on the other hand, is burnt sugar, or coloring or flavoring derived from burnt sugar, for instance, caramel apples.

People can agree on it; check any dictionary. On the other hand, there are a lot of illiterates around who don't know how to spell. Look at all the spam that talks about "loosing" weight! From Webster's Dictionary:

Carmel is a town in either Indiana or California. Caramel is the food. Caramel if you're talking about candy. The correct word is caramel; not carmel. Carmel is a place.
