What is cilantro?!

Question:

What is cilantro?

Answers: it is sometimes called chinese parsley... it looks exactly like parsley to me except the leaves are a tiny bit smaller.. I used to hate it when little, but learned to love it now.. Its what gives mexican, indian, middle eastern foods their bite.. it adds a very distinct flavor to those foods.. but watch out, cause if a normal recipe calls for parsley and you use cilantro, you'll soon know the meaning.. it is bitter on its own.. it doesnt taste good unless cooked into something else.. http://phoenix.about.com/od/recipes/g/ci... It is the most disgusting, foul thing that has ever been!

Say No to Cilantro!! A herb, it is also called Corriander outwith of America. Many people do not like Cilantro.
http://www.ihatecilantro.com/ it's a yummy herb. People either love it or hate it, there is no middle ground. Those who hate it say it tastes like soap. It's an herb, used in salsas amoungst other things. You can find it in your market near the parsely usually. Personally I like it, but it seems alot of people don't! lol
Hope I helped! Best wishes. It's coriander. Except they call it Cilantro in the USA. It's a taste you have to get used to and once you're hooked you'll enjoy it as much as I now do. Cilantro is coriander ,the every present herb in our kitchens in India, many countries also use it in their cuisines ,Here in India no self respecting vegetable shop or vendor would open shop without a stock of neat , tempting bundles of coriander . In fact i would go so far as to say we can manage with just cilantro & mint, without missing any other herb ,
