Answers: I read your question and had to leave you this recipe!
We make it in our house at least once a week.
10 years ago, when my daughter was 8, I taught her this recipe, and she loved to make it then as she does now. I invented it as a 'good for you' meal (depends how much grated cheese you add) to be eaten with a mixed salad and this is the first time that I've written it down so forgive the non-specific quantities. Try it and you and your fiance will love it.

Pasta Tuna Bake for 2 to 4 people

Boil loads of salted water and add one handful of dried penne pasta per person. Boil for 12-14 minutes until 'al dente'. Meanwhile, heat a small glug of olive oil in a large frying pan, add a diced onion and a finely chopped clove of garlic (one large one, or two small ones). Cook until transparent, but without colour. Then:-
Add a 200gm can of drained tuna chunks and mix well. Add a 400gm can of peeled plum tomatoes, chop and mix well, add a 200gm can of drained sweetcorn and mix well.
Turn the grill on the cooker to full. Meanwhile, drain the penne pasta well and mix well into the tuna/tomato mix, add a pinch of salt and 8 turns of the pepper grinder and mix well. Grate a 'handful' of strong cheddar cheese and sprinkle over the top.
Place the frying pan under the grill until the cheese melts (no more) - don't burn your hand on the handle. Serve with a mixed salad and enjoy.

I ought to be on telly! cheers Bigpathome. Mostaccioli, basil pesto, chicken, alfredo and shredded parmesan on top--it's my familys favorite!! I like cheese ravioli in marinara with meatballs, topped with mozzerella and parmesan baked. I hope yall enjoy whatever you choose. I learned one from watching 30 minute meals that I loved. It's called Fake Bake Rigatoni and its very simple. Maybe not something if you are planning a romantic evening, but definitely a good recipe when you need a quick meal one night. I used a jarred sauce, but you can easily make your own. Here is what I did:

Drizzle a couple of tbsp of olive oil in a large skillet. Add some chopped garlic (and onion if youd like) and let that simmer. Then add either ground beef or ground turkey and cook until it is browned. Then add your favorite Marinara sauce (I used Prego 5 cheese) and heat throughout. Add salt to taste and red pepper flakes if you like some heat. Then add to the skillet, 1 lb of cooked Rigatoni and mix together.

Transfer the Rigatoni into a baking dish and top it with thick slices of mozerella cheese (YUM!). Stick it under the broiler for about 5 minutes, or until the mozerella starts to brown.

It is very simple and very tasty! This is really yummy:

Baked Pizza Casserole
1/3 c. butter
1 1/2 c. chopped onion
16 ounce can tomato sauce
1/2 lb. chopped fresh mushrooms
1 large garlic clove, minced
1/2 t. oregano
1/2 t. basil
scant dash of ground cloves
8 ounce package spaghetti, cooked and drained
4 ounce package thinly sliced pepperoni
8 ounces grated Mozzarella cheese
4 ounces grated Parmesan cheese

Sautee onion in butter until transparent, add garlic, mushrooms, spices and tomato sauce. Mix well and simmer 5 minutes. In a buttered 9 x 13" casserole, place 1/2 c. sauce, half of the spaghetti, 1/2 of the remaining sauce, 1/2 of the pepperoni, 1/2 of the cheese. Repeat. Cover and bake 25 - 30 minutes at 350 degrees. easy baked ziti:

cook a standard size box of pasta . . . ziti, preferably or you could use elbows or anything else about that size.

in a pan, cook 2 Italian sausages which you've taken out of their casing (it's easier to get it to have that ground up look if you take the casing off first).

in a mixing bowl, mix a jar of sauce with a small container of ricotta cheese.

take the pasta, sauce/cheese mixture and sausage and put it in a 9X13 baking dish. top it with mozzarella cheese, cover it with foil and bake for 45 minutes-1 hour at 375.
