Cooked salmon?!

Question:

Cooked salmon?

what colour is the inside of cooked salmon supposed to be?

Answers: It depends on the salmon itself. Some species are a bright brick-red when raw, while others are whitish with a pink tint.

In any case, to be sure if the salmon is cooked, make a note of its physical properties. It will usually become lighter/paler in color, and it will go from being opaque to translucent.

Also, it will separate into flakes if you poke it with a fork. Raw salmon (and fish in general) won't do that. it is a pale shade of salmon. no pun intended!
