Anyone got any good recipies for lasagne?
........any?
Answers: This is a classic which my mum gave to me. Its simple, but really really tasty. (This recipe serves 4).
You will need: 2 x 500g lean beef mince, two jars of dolmio tomato sauce, one jar of dolmio white sauce for lasagne, pasta sheets, grated cheddar cheese, an oxo cube (beef) a dash of worcestershire sauce and a dash of tomato sauce.
First of all dry fry the mince. This means dont put any oil in the pan) so that it is brown. Then add the dolmio tomato sauce to the mince. Simmer on a medium heat and also add in splashes of worcestershire sauce and tomato sauce. Crumble in a beef oxo cube also. After abotu 10 minutes, take the mince off the heat and get your lasagne dish ready. Add half of the mince mixture into the bottom of the lasagne dish, and then on top of that add the pasta sheets. On top of those, add a thin layer of white sauce (spread this out using a spoon). Then on top of that, add more pasta sheets. Repeat this using the rest of the beef mince mixture and the rest of the white sauce, until you are left with a layer of white sauce on the top of the lasagne dish. Put this in the oven at a temperature of about 180 degrees. Cook for around 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, take the dish out and add the grated cheese to the top of the lasagne and put back in the oven for about 10 - 12 minutes. Serve with some crispy french bread or salad.Yum! Hi Collette, this is the only recipe i have used in quite sometime. Its perfect as it is and I'm one of those recipe tweakers, but I leave this one alone

Take 2 pounds of ground beef and brown in a pan, drain off fat. Take one box of lasagne noodles and cook until soft. In a casserole dish, layer lasagne noodles, spaghetti sauce, grund beef, and motzarella cheese. To with noodles, sauce and cheese. Put in oven and bake at 350-375F for about 30-45 mins, or until bubbly and cheese starts to brown. Totally easy! Good luck My Favorite
1 lb ground beef, I use ground round
1 small onion, diced
28 ounces tomatoes, I use petite diced
12 ounces tomato paste
1 tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt, I usually omit this
1/2 teaspoon oregano leaves
1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt, I use garlic powder
1 bay leaf
14 lasagna noodles
2 eggs
15 ounces ricotta cheese
16 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
1. In a dutch oven over high heat cook ground beef and onions until beef is browned and juices have evaporated. Add the tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, salt, oregano leaves, thyme leaves, red pepper flakes, garlic salt, and bay leaf, heat mixture until boiling. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes.
2. Discard the bay leaf and spoon off any grease that has accumulated on top of the sauce. Set aside.
3. In another dutch oven boil water, add lasagna noodles, and cook until tender. Drain well in colander and set aside.
4. Preheat oven to 375°F In a 13x9-inch baking dish add half of the lasagna noodles layering as you go.
5. In a small bowl add ricotta cheese and eggs, beat well until combined. Spoon half of this mixture over the layered lasagna noodles and half of the meat sauce. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over this layer. Repeat layers and bake in oven for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and let stand 10 minutes before serving. I don't follow an exact recipe.
Brown up a mix of ground beer/ground sausage in some olive oil and crused garlic.
Drain and season beef mix, usually garlic salt, pepper
Make a thick sauce using a few cans of tomato paste, a can of tomato sauce, some Italian seasoning and sugar.
Add meat to sauce and let simmer, tasting until I get the perfect mix of sweet/tangy we like.
Boil noodles only until al dente
Drain noodles
Mix cottage cheese and an egg
Take a deep 9x13 pan and spoon in some sauce
Layer Noodles
Layer sauce
Layer cottage cheese mix
Layer mozzarella
and continue to top, end with mozzarella
Into a preheated 350 oven, covered with foil, for 45 minutes, foil off last 10 minutes, remove and let sit for at least 10 minutes.
Sometimes to save time, I simply make rollup. Take the noodles, spoon on meat mix, a bit of the cottage mix, mozzarella, roll it up, place in my pan where I've put a bit of sauce on the bottom, continue until pan if full, spoon a bit of sauce mix on top, some cheese and into the oven, these take much less cooking time.
Also, allrecipes.com has a great recipe for crock pot lasagna, simply and easy, hubby takes it to work pot lucks where he is under threat of death to bring it or else!!! AGain though, I make my own homemade sauce. Heat some garlic and onion in some olive oil.
Add 500g minced (ground) beef and brown it together with the garlic and onion.
Add some chopped mushrooms
Add a tin of chopped tomatoes.
Add some Italian Herbs.
Leave to simmer for as long as you want - I leave mine for two hours, but you can have it sooner if you wish.
When the sauce is cooked, layer it between lasagne sheets.
Cover with a cheese sauce - I don't like bechamel sauce - and cover with tin foil.
Put it into the oven for about 25 minutes.
Sprinkle some fresh basil on top when you're serving. Good Morning!
Try this one, I've tried it and liked it very much

Good Luck! I've got tons, but they all use home-made sauce...but since you're asking, try following the recipe on the box. To make it special, add some thin-sliced zucchini as an extra layer; and add Parmesan to every layer. yummy, i just made lasange the other night...i browned about 1-2 lbs of ground beef (im not good at measurments, i just cook), but i seasoned it with salt pepper, onion powder and garlic powder. when the meat was done i added a can of spaghetti sauce with mushrooms...(save a little sauce for the bottom of the lasange pan) to that i added about a handful of spinich, just to let it wilt, then mix...
in a separate bowl i mixed ricotta cheese and an egg (helps hold it together better), then added a bit of spinich. i boiled noodles, salted the water a bit.
on bottom of lansange pan, i added the sauce that was set aside. covered evenly bottom of pan...added one layer of cooked noodles, then layer of meat sauce. layer of noodles, layer of ricotta cheese. layer of noodles then layer of remaining sauce, added spinish and mozeralla cheese. put in oven to brown cheese...
it came out good, with a side salad...then next day the lasange was even better...hope this helps... Something I put in my lasagne in addition to the typical noodle, sauce, and mozzrella cheese is crumbled italian sausage and I also use cream cheese spread on teh noodles with teh ricotta cheese and sauce and mozz cheese--it gives it a really creamy effect that is unbelievable, and people can't pick out the cream cheese. I've had Pesto Lasagna Rolls, a lighter lasagna it is a wonderful dish.
Pesto Lasagna Rolls
PESTO LASAGNA ROLLS

2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (15-ounce) container ricotta cheese

1 (3.5-ounce) jar prepared pesto
1 egg
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
? teaspoon salt
Freshly ground pepper
1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
Pesto, spinach and tomato sauce more than compensate for the reduced amount of cheese in these lasagna rolls. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions; drain.
Preheat oven to 350 F. Spread 2 cups of the tomato sauce in bottom of a greased 13x9-inch pan. Combine garlic, ricotta, spinach, pesto, egg, Parmesan, salt and pepper to taste in a bowl.
Place a lasagna noodle on a clean kitchen towel; spread 1/4 cup of the ricotta mixture on the noodle. Roll noodle up; place seam-side down in pan. Repeat with remaining noodles.
Pour remaining tomato sauce over noodles; sprinkle with mozzarella. Cover with foil; bake 20 minutes. Uncover; cook until cheese is golden brown, 10 to 15 minutes longer. Makes 6 servings.
