Mushrooms on pizza?
Should I saute them first? Or should I just put them on uncooked?
Thanks! Additional Details

How would spinach be on a pizza with tomato sauce? I would cook the mushrooms in a pan half way cooked. Reason doing this is because mushrooms release moisture when cooked and I don't think you want your pizza to be watery. So again, cook the mushrooms in a pan half-way cooked and put them on. Or you could just saute them and when the pizza is ready just place them on the top. Source(s):
One of many of my favorite foods to use. Sautee them until they're about 3/4 of the way done. They'll finish cooking in the oven an won't get so dried out. slice and put into the microwave first OR used canned shrooms just clean 'em and slice them thin, put them on the pizzza on top of everything else so they don't get mushy. ewwwwwh mushrooms you could slice them and put them under the cheese, and that way they won't dry out... Either way they won't be raw, so it's a matter of personal preference. If you want to give them a bit more flavor, sautee them with some garlic and onion, but don't cook them fully. If not and want to preserve only their original flavor, slice them thin and put them on the pizza uncooked, they will cook as the pizza is baked. Yummy!!!! dont cook first just put them on the pizza and no they dont have to be under the cheese. dont slice too thin though. saute them first ..it will be better! mushrooms can go on a pizza uncooked. also i love spinach on any kind of pizza. yum If you don't saute or otherwise cook first, you do run the risk of water leaching out and making your crust soggy or making the top watery. And to saute first can allow the flavor to come out rather than "dry" cook in a hot oven. (Especially with canned or jarred 'shrooms, get that water out beforehand!")
