Pickled garlic?!
Pickled garlic?
has anyone else ever had this before; and if so, isnt it delicious? and finally where can i find it at? (i got this at an olive bar in a whole foods market that is across town) thanx!
Answers: I also buy it all the time at Trader Joes, and it makes a delicious change from an olive or onion in a gin Martini.....You can also slice it up and use it in salads as a flavor enhancer to the basic greens of the salad.....I also serve it on a relish tray for company/cocktail hour......Since it's been pickled, the familiar "bite" that raw garlic is gone, and you get the savory flavor of one of my favorite flavors......Enjoy!!!

Oh, BTW, is you don't have a Trader Joes near you, look on Food Network for a basic pickle recipe, and sub out the cukes with the garlic and proceed with the recipe...... Source(s):
I was trained at Le Cordon Bleu.......... Yes, I've had pickled garlic & it's good. I also like pickled shallots.
Check the gourmet sections of large supermarkets, Trader Joe's or Indian grocery stores.
