Can you smoke a turkey and brisket in the same smoker. they will be stacked on racks, which one on top?!

Question:

Can you smoke a turkey and brisket in the same smoker. they will be stacked on racks, which one on top?

Answers: yes you can but you must put the turkey on the top rack. the brisket has a higher fat content and the fat has a higher content of flavor, so putting that on top will ruin your turkey, the turkey dripping on the brisket will not interfere with it at all. No problem.

It really doesn't matter which is on top. I would put the brisket on top, but that is just because of the shape of my smoker. yes, I would switch them half way through cooking so they both get evenly cooked...have fun, sounds tasty!!
