Answers: dal is known as "lentils" in english....well which recipe do u want???......here is masoor ki daal recipe:

soak 1/2 cup masoor daal in 1 cup water for 15 minutes
boil add 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1tsp cumin seeds(zeera), salt according to ur taste and 1 tomota cut into half....boil till dal is done...remove the tomato's skin...mash the this tomato and put it again in the daal....you would need to add more water after sometime while boiling......now heat about 2tbsp oil in a frying pan...add 1/2 tsp mustard seeds, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds(zeera)....few curry leaves...and few dried red chilli(whole)....and some chopped garlic...fry till garlic turns brown...pour over daal before serving...eat with plain rice... Routine dal Fry, the recipe is as follows.


Method:
1.Mix and wash dals well. Soak for 30 minutes.
2.Pressure cook till soft but not overcooked. (Approx.2- 3 whistles)
3.Mash a little with the back of a spoon, while hot.
4.Heat butter in a deep pan.
5.Add seeds, allow to splutter.
6.Add onion, ginger and green chillies.
7.Stir fry till soft, add masalas (red chillies and salt) and dals, mix well.
8.Bring to a boil. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
9.Garnish with chopped coriander and lemon juice.
Serve hot with rices, rotis, etc.

put teh cooked dal ina vessal nad put it in gas (not high)
put salt and haldi powder.ing (asafetodia)
give tadukka with redchillie three,mustard and uraddal
after switche off flame mix two sppon of lemon juice,corriander leaves and curry leaves lentils. any daal 1/2 cup, 3 cups water, (salt, turmeric, red chillies powder, garam masala according to your taste), 1 inch ginger sliced finely, 2 cloves garlic chopped and 1 medium onion sliced. put all this in a sauce-pan and boil till the daal is cooked. chop 1 medium tomato, a handful of coriander leaves chopped, add all this to the cooked daal. just before serving, add 1 teaspoon of butter. you can also add chopped vegetables when you start boiling the daal.
