Answers: it could b just the brand ur buying is gross... The one that is best tasting is the one you like. It's all a matter of personal preference. Sahlens hot dogs are the best. Pork dogs just do not sound good. I usually buy, white eagle or first prize all beef. I also like Ballpark all beef. i dont care for the pork, chicken or turkey ones. Please check percentage of filler (cereal, etc) and type..This has a lot to do with flavor..Also remember to heat well... Of course, it's all a matter of personal taste. Some people can't stand hot dogs of any kind, and others don't seem to notice a difference among all the varieties.

Personally, I'm a big fan of Hebrew National franks. They're all beef, of course, and if they weren't so pricey I could eat them day and night.

There are also "natural casing" frankfurters, which you might find at local delicatessens or in the meat department of finer supermarkets. They're made from beef, pork, veal, or occasionally poultry (the types are always clearly marked), and they're wrapped with a natural casing, made from the intestinal lining of pigs or sheep---it's basically the same casing as used for most sausages.

Natural-casing franks are usually locally made from the best ingredients, so they're much better than anything you'll find in a package. Also, the casing adds a unique, appealing "snap" to the franks. if the hot dogs are a cheap brand they aren't as good. no matter if they are beef or pork. i try to stick with oscar mayer, ballpark or nathans. Most of the time, a company's "All Beef" franks are just a bit spicier than their "Pork" or "Mixed Meat" wieners. So, assuming that you're comparing the same brand of dogs, then yes apparently for you the all beef franks are better tasting. And it sounds like you don't go for the bland stuff, so I'd recomend hunting down some of the more "gourmet" types of dogs like "What The Duece?" was talking about, I'll bet you enjoy 'em.

And welcome to the wonderful world of wurst! yes beef are better
