Question:

What*s your Favorite Roast ?

I really like Chuck the best! it cooks really tender and juicy. and how do you season and cook yours? I use onion soup mix and add veggies..sometimes add cream of mushroom soup mixed with can of chedder cheese soup ..yum! :)

Answers: I like chuck or rump roast and tend to make my pot roasts the same way because I don't make them very often (I live by myself, so often cook for one). I brown the meat, then add salt, pepper, paprika and a bay leaf. Add wedged onions, pieces of green pepper, carrots and then water up to about an inch in the pan. Put the lid on and put it in the oven at 325 or 350 F (dependent upon whether I put it in early or late vs. when I want it done). Normally, I cook the potatoes separately so I can mash them and enjoy the au jus on them, but sometimes I peel and quarter them and add the potatoes in with the roast.

Delicious and easy dinner. I'd make it more often if I were having people over more often. Arm roast is good too. I put it in the oven with tons of onion salt and sliced onion. Cover and cook about 3 hours on 350. It would also work in the crock pot with potatoes, onions, and carrots. I also like to add a little sweet or hot banana peppers. YUM i like roasted chicken with garlic and potatoes..i rub the chicken with about 2 whole crushed garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper to taste..peel the potatoes, put some olive oil, salt and pepper and put it on the side of the baking dish..bake for about 40minutes to 1hours.serve with gravy...yummy! I adore lamb, it's my favourite meat and when roasted so that it is still pink inside it is just heavenly.
