My son is allergic to bread(wheat)...and he loves bread!! does any one have some ideas on what i should feed him......that he will like?? plz help! i need answers ASAP
Answers: there is no real substitution for bread, but the best and closest I think your kid will like, and probably not know the difference are on this website.

Try rice or mashed potatoes also try to find a health foods store that sells wheat free products. Rice cakes maybe pita but that may have wheat in it you would have to double check the ingriedients for the pita. Go to the natural food store. Usually they will have several types of wheat-free bread.
Look in the frozen food section, that's where I find them. See if there is something he likes there. You can make bread from rice flour.
Do an internet search for "gluten free recipes" and you'll get piles of suggestions for breads, pizza doughs, pasta, etc. There are things that you might put on bread that you can use over egg white noodles.
Also they do make a wheat free bread...find your local health food department and/or even the one in your local department/grocery store.
There are wheat free pastas that if he likes bread he might like the pastas even more than the wheat free bread. Potatoes

Rice
Rye
Oatmeal
If gluten is the problem the corn chips would be best and oatmeal would be worse. try gluten free foods, they use rice flour in their products, not wheat. Health food stores and some grocers such as albertsons, jewel and domonicks have a gluten free section with cake mixes and bread mixes and etc...
has he been tested for celiacs disease? If he is allergic to wheat, does he have problems with oats, barley, or macaroni products? Google Celiacs disease and check the symptoms. Now if he only has allergy to wheat, you can still make gluten free foods. That for sure is wheat free.
