Question:

Can you put a treated pan on a pizza stone?

i just bought a pizza place and the origional owners did nt really know much about how to cook pizza. they just put the pan in the oven at the bottom , could you put the pan on the pizza stone and fit extra pizzas in the oven. the pans are seasoned (treated with oil).they used the stone to reheat pizza slices. any information would help . thank you

Answers: yes I have never used a pizza pan that could not be used with a pizza stone.

To be on the safe side, why don't you get the name of the pizza pan maker, usually on the bottom of the pan, and go to your nearest Restaurant Supply House and ask to see this type of pan and the information. Or just ask them, they may know. Or maybe even just call. This will ease your mind as to it's use and you will have your answer, for sure.

I have all kinds of pans, but I always read the instructions for proper use. As I read, it's fed into the computer of my mind and I don't have to read it again, or ruin a pan.
